Spacious property , close to local amenities.

− There were no tea towels to dry up any dishes , also no baking tray for the oven.

The decor was lovely

− On arrival they were food crumbs all over the dining table, food crumbs on the coffee table in the living room. The windowsills were dirty and the shower was also dirty.

Quiet location clean and tidy.

− Yard at both back and front were messy and needed weeding and tidied up. Struggled with tv so some helpful info would help as to what channels are available. Clock on wall stopped. Found cracked glass in crockery drawer.

Nice house in good location. Clean, good facilities.

− Minor points: infuriatingly wrongly threaded hot water tap(!); one toilet roll for 2-4 people for length of stay and cost felt a little miserly. Parking occasionally awkward.

The cottage is in a brilliant location for visiting nearby attractions (Durham and Beamish)

The location was brilliant for visiting nearby attractions and close to the town centre (10 minute walk). The cottage was a good size and facilities were OK. It was good that we could book a few short days rather than a week.

− For us the beds were way too soft and uncomfortable. We also felt we needed an extra seat in the living area. The kitchen needed a couple of additional utensils (spatula and serving spoon). A tap in the bathroom sink was loose and the seal round the bath needs to be updated. The nearby road was busy and noisy but ultimately didn't affect us too badly.
