Genuinely friendly, hospitable, and affordable...great for an overnight or extended stay.
8.0Hospitality of the proprietors was exceptional...from guiding us to the property after GPS issues, to welcoming us to the lodge, acquainting us with the facility, suggestions for meals and other local activities, and maps to explore the 60 acres of trails and campground. Also, they were very pet-friendly, a fun place for families with children, tasteful decor in common areas, and convenient microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, and TV in the room with free Wi-fi. Acoustic live music and card games in the bar were also a bonus.
− A tricky venue for those with accessibility issues--no elevator to upper level nor to lower level bar. The stairway down to the bar was nice and wide, but no consistent hand-holds all the way down.
The woman that owns it and lives there is a terrible person extremely rude
1.0The location was good because we went to look for yooperlites on the beach.
− I got a call from the owner at around 6pm saying if I wasn't there to check in by 7pm she was going to cancel my room and I'd have to find somewhere else to stay. Mind you I had 3 kids with me she didn't care. She ended up staying like a half hour over for me like it was a huge deal for her, then find out she literally lives in the hotel its her house and as soon as I checked in and everything she went right downstairs to her bar.When I show up I try to be polite and say im used to a regular hotel where you can check in whenever you want and she's extremely rude saying thats not how this facility is ran and just every rude comment you can think out of her. Absolutely a horrible person all around do not recommend at ALL.
