Location and Tarporley itself

Noise from passing cars but not a big issue

Property was very character, full very cozy and the vibes I loved

Overall, I had a good stay, but there are a few areas that could be improved. The check in process felt quite impersonal. There was no one really there to welcome guests, which made the arrival feel a little distant rather than warm and inviting. The biggest issue was the lighting in the room at night. There were too many sources of light, making it difficult to sleep. The green light from the bathroom shone underneath the door, and the corridor lights outside came through the gaps around the room door. Although the curtains were closed, a significant amount of light still came in around the edges. A simple blackout pelmet or curtain cover above the window would solve this issue and would likely be an inexpensive improvement. I have also included a photograph below showing the amount of light coming into the room at approximately 1:47 am, as it helps demonstrate the issue more clearly. A couple of smaller points: it would have been nice to have biscuits in the room with the tea and coffee, and I would much prefer proper teaspoons instead of wooden stirrers. Reusable teaspoons and small bottles of milk would also be more practical and likely more cost effective over time.

Not the place to be in summer.

Good location for what I needed.

I stayed for two nights. It was unbearably hot, uninhabitably so. I arrived at 4, opened the window as wide as I could and went out again. There was no way I could stay in that room until at least nightfall. I returned at 9.30 and it was still hot as Hades. A fan was provided but they are useless they just circulate the hot air. I called the out of office hours number and spoke to a sympathetic sounding woman who told me someone would be in touch. I asked if they could provide a plug in air conditioner (easily available at various retailers). I received a generic response via this app basically saying open the window and use the fan. They really didn’t give a damn. Another fan was left at my door. It was broken, did not work. I messaged them and received no response. Did not sleep at all. Window wide open with the night time traffic and people returning from pubs and restaurants till quite late. No nespresso machine despite it being mentioned in the room listing. Breakfast in the shop was very average at London prices. When I left at 7am, really couldn’t stay much longer., I walked past another room. They had taken the drastic action of keeping their room door wide open . There really is no excuse. You know summer is around the corner. Make sure your guests are in a safe environment and provide for them. It’s an extremely dangerous environment for those who suffer from asthma, high blood pressure. Cardiovascular issues, pregnancy, elderly, young children… you get my drift. Perhaps realising that you may have to deal with a medical emergency, will motivate you to provide portable air conditioners.

Beautiful Room

10.0

It’s location was perfect for the wedding we went to nearby. We ended up getting back at 3am and also checking in at that time so only spent 7 hours in our beautiful aesthetic room with amazing bathroom and beautiful furnishings. We are going to go back to actually enjoy The Stay and the village !! Couldn’t open the window so instruction on how to open a sash window would be helpful

Nothing

The property is in a great location and the self check-in is really easy. The rooms are nicely decorated, very clean and a decent size.

Nothing.
