On the booking.com price was for 5 bedrooms but property had 3 bedrooms at arrival
1.0Our stay at Luxury & Comfort Living was an outright disaster. What was marketed and confirmed as an entire property rental turned out to be a deceptive bait-and-switch. Upon arrival, we were shocked to discover that 2 of the 5 bedrooms were locked, and we were pressured to pay an excessive fee to access the very rooms that were clearly stated in the original, confirmed offer. We have documented proof of the original listing and communication, and this deliberate misrepresentation constitutes outright fraud.
Worse still, the host exploited our international travel circumstances, knowing full well that we had no viable option to cancel on the day of arrival. This manipulation is predatory, unethical, and likely in violation of Booking platform policies, which we have formally reported. Legal action is being considered.
The nightmare didn’t stop at the deception:
The property was unclean at check-in, with stray hair in multiple rooms, making for an uncomfortable and unsanitary experience.
The smoke and carbon monoxide detectors were malfunctioning, going off randomly during the night, disrupting our sleep repeatedly.
When we asked for basic sanitary supplies like a plunger, we were sent a broken tool — whether due to negligence or mockery, we’ll never know.
The host’s attitude was consistently rude and dismissive, both in person and over the phone — a far cry from the “luxury and comfort” they claim to offer.
Finally, the host's conduct during our departure was harassing and unnecessarily hostile, adding insult to injury after everything we had endured.
Avoid this property at all costs. The combination of fraud, poor hygiene, broken safety equipment, and hostile behavior makes this place not only a scam but a serious safety and comfort risk for any traveler.
