Disappointing
4.0The waiting/bar staff were excellent as was breakfast. Welcome non existent
− We are in our 80’s and my husband has Alzheimer’s. We were in an attic room with narrow winding stairs difficult to negotiate and heavy fire doors to open. No help was offered with our cases. Our room was very hot with a very small window so no air coming in . We couldn’t close the blind at night because there was no air so consequently got bitten terribly. I found a fan in the room at midnight but it was broken, covered in dust and looked as if it hadn’t been used in a very long time . As it was too late to contact staff for a replacement we just had to grin and bear it! Whist the breakfast was excellent our evening meal was disappointing and not good value for money.

7.0Overall a good stay. The restaurant was excellent and breakfasts unbelievable!
− There was a heat wave and we were very uncomfortable in our rooms with no airconditioning, and there was very little ventilation. I understand that this type of weather is not the norm but maybe they could think about portable airconditioning?
