The large windows and location.

No dishwasher damaged tap in bathroom, broken, bedroom door handle, dangerous slippery floors poor internet reception anywhere apart from the main living area. A dangerous balcony in the main bedroom from which I fell after one of the bars of the extremely rusty support, gave way causing me to fall 8 to 9 ft below causing me to break my foot. Due to my injury we couldn't do any of the activities we had planned to do as I was in too much pain and on crutches. On contacting the property owner I very much got the impression that I was not believed which has caused me much distress as why would I lie.

Great location very enjoyable stay

8.0

Well presented period property, high ceilings, nice lighting, The location was great, very handy to town within 5 minutes walk to most facilities including restaurants bars and shops etc 10 minutes walk to town centre, the on site parking convenient although not a great space (size and location) Great public transport links Bus station and train station 15 minute walk, buses to Leeds every 10 minutes, Waitrose supermarket 5 minute walk.

The car parking was an issue, (nightmare at times) there were times when I was blocked in and could not get out for the day, a small car ie., Mini might suit better I was driving a Hyundai Tucson Hline The property is on the first floor, no lift, 2 very steep sets stairs, the banister was not very user friendly, would not suit someone with mobility issues The apartment is located on a very busy A road, seemed to the main route for all emergency services there is an issue with traffic noise as the double glazing is not up to scratch. During warm weather it was not possible to open all the windows, it was only possible to open two of the 5 windows (three was either broken or stuck) at the front of the property, in the rear bedroom there were two patio type doors it was possible to open them but one did not close properly. There are no wall sockets on the walls in the kitchen area, there are two double plugs situated in one of the cupboard units which also contained the electric kettle, the toaster and the microwave, very awkward setting. all TV is via Apps, so totally dependent on good internet connect, Lounge area not bad, but bedroom connection is poor, keeps dropping out an buffering, ok as long a s you don't watch TV in bed. Kitchen and Lounge are tired, could do with a refresh, kitchen units are grubby on the exterior, the leather corner unit suite has seen better days very badly stained and in places uncomfortable. The property is a mixture of private dwelling and holiday lets. Communal area can be noisy at times, people entering and leaving the building. The washing machine had obvious not been used for a while, it was smelly, we were unable to wash towels etc for those of us that like a shower daily it was difficult we had to reuse towels and in fact we had to go out and purchased a few to tide us over. The bed linen was not changed we had the same linen for two weeks, I'm used to changing my bed linen weekly.
