7.0Convenient to our on going journey
− The property could do with making it feel more homely window in lounge has blown double glazing unit back door was very hard to shut and lock the bed was so soft woke with bad back
Lovely ,would highly recommend
9.0Spotlessly clean and very well equipped
− A mobile mirror would have been handy to dry your hair as the main mirrors are a bit high and drier flex wouldn’t stretch
no good for people with a disability . it was not comfortable in the sitting area .
2.0there was no breakfast
− everything
Cute place, enjoyable stay despite a few plumbing issues.
7.0Really easy check in - no key or lock box, just a case of entering a code onto a digital pad to unlock the door. It was a cute place - I hadn't really twigged that it is called 'Tipsy' cottage because everything is slightly wonky! Very clean, bedrooms were spacious and beds comfy. We enjoyed the fire pit - wasn't really the weather for either a bbq or the log burner but nice that all three are available. It was handy to be able to park in the drive to unload our bags, although beware that it is quite a busy road right outside the front door, and visibility pulling out of the drive isn't great as it's sandwiched between two end of terrace houses. There were always plenty of parking spaces opposite the house.
− The kitchen baking tins could do with an update and a grater would be useful (grating cheese on a nutmeg grater isn't ideal!). The dishwasher tablet holder didn't release properly so after an initial failed attempt to wash the dishes we put the tablet in the cutlery basket which seemed to work. The main issue however was that the shower pipe leaks slightly when in use. This then runs onto the tiles underneath the shower controls. Not a problem the first morning, but the second morning the water came through the ceiling in the kitchen, which then seemed to affect the pressure in the boiler meaning that not only could we not have showers but there wasn't even hot water to have a wash in the sink. We did use the contact numbers in the info book to contact the host but to this day have never heard a thing from him. We had to check out that morning. I understand that unexpected plumbing emergencies can happen, so I haven't reduced my review score too much, however the one thing that would have been nice is some acknowledgement from the host.
A really lovely house, definitely tipsy but that’s what makes it special, I’d definitely stay again
10.0Home from home and very clean
− You have to get used to the tipsy stairs but it also makes the stay fun
