The location was beautiful and the cottage was very comfortable and exceptionally clean, a very relaxing weekend.

Only stayed for one night but the cottage was very homely. Would definitely stay again

Cozy cottage with everything you need for one night, very quiet around. Charming exit to the garden through the bedroom door.

The inner courtyard does not quite match the photos shown, currently the bushes have grown over and the natural horizon is not visible, and a bench has been placed instead of chairs.

Disappointing stay

5.0

I liked the position, the communication initially with the owner (who allowed us to check in an hour earlier) and the surroundings.

I found the property just didn't work for us as in summer with a young child (or anyone for that matter), it would be good to be able to darken a bedroom and 2 of 3 bedrooms could not block enough light. The main bedroom of the living room could be darkened, but the door would not close (warped and needed fixing), so impossible to keep sound out if anyone wanted to watch TV while anyone slept in there. There were some issues with cleaning (eg blocked sink that we ended up clearing ourselves, mould in bathroom, cobwebs, folded fresh towels were damp). I understand that it is an old, quirky cottage, and we have booked several over the years and loved them, but this one needs work to make it more comfortable. We paid a high price for 3 days and left after the first night. I advised the owner that we were leaving and explained our reasons.
