[Porto Ercole] Elegant Harbour View♡

This place was in a perfect location with port views that were beautiful and peaceful. The apartment was extremely spacious and very clean. I also appreciated they had screens on the windows so mosquitos could not get in. Our host Federico responded immediately when we texted (had a problem with the bus schedule, and he promptly referred us to taxis). The main bedroom had an en suite and juliett balcony, while the second queen room was exrtremely spacious, the third bedroom was small but big enough to have 2 twin beds. It was conveniently next door to a bicycle rental place which we took advantage of and rode up to the castle and natural resource sanctuary. Also 3 min walk was a wonderful place for coffee and cornettos in the morning, and apertivo in evening.

Property has exceptional views and much needed a/c in each room. The host was great at replying to any and all queries immediately. It’s a great basic large apartment with two bathrooms and 3 bedrooms. There is a small balcony with a table & chairs to sit out and admire the beautiful harbour view. We were left plenty of towels for our family of four as sell as one small body wash/shampoo in each bathroom. It was also nice to be able to launder clothes as we were travelling and to air dry them. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay in Porto Ercole and surrounding areas!

− The property seems lived in and a bit tired. Old tiles, built up dirt in shower door areas, broken bed in front room (which didn’t affect sleep but the metal pieces that broke off were in the closet and the remaining pieces were precariously still attached) , moth ball smell in back bedroom, well used covers on the sitting room sofas. The kitchen was not greatly equipped as there was no kettle, old well used pots & pans. We were out a lot of the time and dining elsewhere but we would’ve liked to be able to make tea and warm milk without having to use the same small sauce pan.

We had the most wonderful few days in Porte Ercole. It's a short drive from the airport in Rome and was an idyllic location to recover from jet lag. The apartment was very comfortable and had everything we needed, is in the most wonderful location, with a lovely balcony to enjoy a sundowner or early morning coffee and views. Great restaurants and bars within a 3 min walk. Loved exploring the town and great walks on the doorstep. Would definitely stay again!

The amazing view on the harbour, the kindness and availability of the management, the attention to every little detail. Everything we needed for our stay to be pleasant and comfortable was there and Federico (the manager) was always attentive and took good care of our needs throughout the weekend. Highly suggested!

− The apartment could use some more modern furniture, but this is a minor hiccup.
