An unpleasant experience. AVOID at ALL cost!!

Centrally located.

− Very unpleasant experience Sam the host advised that he was available 24/7, but this is not the case. We arrived to the property around midnight and checked in, only to find he placed us in the wrong apartment. We tried to phone him to get this corrected as assumed there was a mistake. The apartment was filthy, and we were in a flat with 6 single COT beds, not the luxury modern two double bedroom apartment we had booked! Sam called at 8am the next morning and said the flat had been flooded, and he had put us in his only other apartment...described on booking .com as luxury 2 bed, sleeps 7!! We asked to be moved, he said as it was so late there was no where else to book us into. We agreed to a refund so that we could find somewhere else, but Sam would not refund the first night as we had used the flat. We had no choice, it was so late and we were unable to contact him to sort the issue on arrival. Please see some photos of the cleanliness of the apartment. There was dirt in the bathroom and sinks, the kitchen was sticky, grease rings around the hub and the oven needs a good clean! The coffee machine was sticky, furniture being held together with tape, and the pillows are yellowed and old, some have awful stains! Beds r small and non weight bearing. We do not recommend here, and Sam as a host was very unhelpful, stating we cost him money. How did we feel paying £800 for a week, to be put in a dirty apartment which was not what we booked, and then having to pay for alternative accommodation so last minute. Apparently the original flat has flooded a few days before, and he did not tell us or warn us. Avoid at all costs, it is not worth the hassle! We are still awaiting the refund of our first night, and a refund of the cleaning fee!!!!which Sam has not agreed to. Taking advantage of people in a vulnerable position, knowing that we were arriving late that day and would not be able to find an alternative! BE WARNED.

It was a pretty good location, right above a train station which was convenient for getting into London. It also had good shopping and restaurants within a 5 minute walk. The host of the property was very nice.

− The building was very hot and does not have air conditioning. Even with the windows open it was really hot and uncomfortable inside the unit. There’s also a bar right across the street and on a Friday and Saturday night there is a ton of noise coming from it, which was even louder because of having to have the windows open, and kept us up. The building also smelled like garbage in the lobby the entire time we were there. Unfortunately the cleanliness of the unit was also lacking. One of the beds had a sheet with a stain on it and the floors didn’t appear to have been vacuumed/cleaned.

Great apartment next to train station. We stayed while working in the area. Really well equipped kitchen and the second bathroom was a bonus. Sam was really helpful
