9.0The best way to describe this farmhouse stay is Rustic, Comfortable and Tasteful. The old farmhouse has been appointed with care and attention to detail, and everything works together beautifully. There is something for everyone - an enormous circular braai-and-pizza boma (apparently called the "Colosseum") where you can cook to your hearts delight, a really cosy indoor bar with closed combustion fireplace, a huge kitchen with every convenience, inside and outside eating areas and two magic covered stoeps with endless views. Super comfortable beds (king beds in all the double rooms) with monogrammed linen and towels add a really nice touch. This is a perfect place for a group of friends to have wonderful quality time in a spectacular setting. (You can also hire the immaculate Gatehouse next door, 2 min walk, which we did for extra capacity.) There is loads of space on the farm to roam, run or cycle, and the river and private beach is only a kilometer's walk away from the house.
