Very nice location in the midst of nature. Gr8 host Mai and husband, her daughter, her son Cau who spoke excellent English and all the family including the resident cat Sapa and the roaming chickens and chicks. This place is truly breathtaking, away from the hustle and bustle of big cities and the touristy feel of charming Sapa. We ate two fantastic dinners with home grown produce with all the host family and we were treated with fantastic stories of the family's Red Dao tribe and of the tribes of the valleys around Sapa. We also went on a quite challenging yet very interesting trek along hills, tiny villages and bamboo forests. All in all, I can say without doubt that this was the highlight of our trip to Vietnam

The best homestay experience in Sapa with the red dao people

Amazing village stay, the whole area is beautiful and close to nature surrounded by rice fields and locals living in the area. Very safe and there are no other tourists in the same village. Living with the red dao people and learning about their culture. The family speaks very good English and eat their food and life style is still kept the same way. They have the traditional house and got some dogs and chickens. They took us on trekking different areas and they adjust everything to your level.

The definition of hospitality was shown to us during our week stay here. Nothing was too much hassle. The food provided was tasty and in abundance. Extremely kind and warm family, we learned about the local way of life, while being surrround by nature and some truly breathtaking views. Nothing was too much to ask, from helping us arrange transport to the location, showing us local plants and medicences in the jungle. It truly is a unique place to stay. Do not hesitate to book this accommodation/experience you won't regret it.

No doubt, it's my favourite place in all Vietnam! A small paradise! It's not only a place where to sleep, Mây and her family give a full, human, authentic and heart touching experience. A lifetime unforgettable experience! The place is clean and comfy, near to nature and so peaceful. The food is generous and yummy. Mây's family offers trekking and motorbike tours, and herbal baths : all three are amazing! Love this place! 😁
