Modern, quirky apartment in Historical building
10.0This place was just as good as it looked in the photographs: stylish, comfortable, modern and a brilliant historical building! I was fascinated by the history of the place and loved walking around the grounds and considering its history and the people who may have been in residence in the old prison! The property was perfect for exploring! Just a short drive away from the historical docks, where we went up the Spinnaker Tower; wonderful views and definitely worth a visit! The apartment was so comfortable to come back to at the end of the day! With a fantastic shower in the en-suite and comfortable beds - and being able to access Netflix was a big plus for us! It allowed us to chill on the evening; it was a really comfortable stay! We purchased a grocery pack prior to arriving and so glad we did - the selection was brilliant and was very much needed after a long trip!
− The property was very hot, especially in the bedrooms but we are experiencing a heatwave currently so it was unavoidable - there is a fan in the one room which helped a little. My son found the pull out bed in the en-suite bedroom uncomfortable so he slept on the sofa instead - but none of this affected our stay and we all enjoyed the quirkiness of the property and how accommodating the hosts were.

− It was very hot in the bedrooms so if it is summer I would bring a fan. There is a small fan in the large bedroom but it was not strong enough.

7.0Place was lovely part of history, wish there was more information on the place. Spacious,
− Sofa arm broken, (noticed on arrival) bed in second room slats moved twice, worried about rolling over night, need better bed for price. Main room bed needs a mattress topper again very uncomfortable, bed slat broken, would be a must. Unfortunately some residents around allow dogs to mess on floor and not collect, two people of our party walked in it as was at top of stairs.
