Cottage with Hot Tub - near Cheltenham and Tewkesbury♡

Lovely cottage, good location, but not for the technophobe

After an easy drive from our home, approximately 1hr to the cottage, it was easy to find using Goggle maps. Upon arrival we located the key box, which was exactly where the hosts said it was and put the code in, which was emailed to us on the morning of our arrival date. First impressions once we entered the cottage was very good and pleased with what we found there, albeit compact and bijou. There was a guests handbook with all the information required to enjoy our stay. The hot tube was already to use, there was a small bottle of prosecco, small bottle of milk and small bottle of orange juice in the fridge, also some snacks on the table. There was a good selection of quality cutlery, crockery, glassware and cooking utensils and pans etc. There was a Ninja kettle and toaster, a De'Longii bean to cup coffee machine (beans provided), induction hob and a NEFF fan oven. Also available should you need it, a washing machine and a dishwasher. There were air conditioning units, 1 in the lounge/kitchen area and 1 in the bedroom. Underfloor heating in the bathroom and a heated towel rail with plenty of towels. The shower was electrically powered, but had good pressure from both heads. The bed was a good sized double and very comfortable, all fitted with clean white bed linen. Good bus service to Tewksbury and Swan pub 5 mins walk served good food and very friendly staff. Good breakfast in Tewksbury Garden centre too

− There wasn't anything we disliked, however for the sake of some constructive feedback, there were a few niggles that I feel could have made this a 5 star rated review instead of a 4 star one. The only mirror was in the bathroom, which my wife found frustrating when she came to dry her hair and the dry lead wasn't long enough to reach from the plug socket outside the bathroom, so another mirror in the bedroom above this socket would be a good addition. Although we are not technophobes, we found the Alexa control panel that worked all lighting and window blinds quite frustrating, particulary the blind operation which was painfully slow and noisy!! what's wrong with being able to open and close curtains or blinds manually? We had abit of an issue with being unable to turn the AC off in the bedroom the first night, which meant both myself and my wife woke up very cold 🥶 Can you provide clearer instructions for the coffee machine as we couldn't workout how the milk container fitted?? It would've been nice to have met the host upon arrival.
