Cozy Cottage off Salmon River Tributary, in Town♡

Rustic in a way that made you feel like you were one of the early pioneers in the state. It gave the place a lot of charm. The Ranch hand there was a huge help. He out performed what we expected. They acted swiftly when there was problem with the sewer/ ceptic system. They even made it function untill we left and started on the big work after we left. Good bed and furniture over all. Air condition was turned on before we arrived! that was amazing since we got there in the middle of a heatwave. Plenty of parking space. Had a decent kitchen with what you need mostly. There were a few things missing though. But most of what you would need was there. There were plenty of towels, washclothes and such. Placement is perfect. Its quite a bit way from town but not that far that you feel isolated. Also be aware. There are two dogs that roam around. They are friendly enough, but not very social.

− Well there are cats near and around the cabin. That would have been nice to know before we booked. They were very sweet and all. But if you got allergies its a nice thing to know before you arrive. Rustic but you can see there has been water damage to some of the planks of wood. The wood is untreated. Would do good to have it treated. There wasnt a can opener. Needed a good table to eat at. There was a small table in the kitchen where the two chairs didnt fit under it. There was also a very small folding table in the living room. It was doable, but we lacked a real table. Place needs curtains. We didnt get updates at first on the plumbing. The place would do good with a good clean up of the area. There were some of the outside furniture that was broken and hadnt been removed when we got there.

All in all it was quite lovely.

− The toilet didn’t work most of our stay which was disappointing but other than that it was lovely

The cabin is right on a small tributary of the Salmon river. It was cozy, rustic and private. I appreciated the kitchen with multiple appliances and nice size fridge and freezer. I think it would be great if the owner would put up some pictures of the sheep and sheepdogs from their farm.

− The plumbing was acting up. When the toilet was flushed, the water in the kitchen sink would gurgle and spurt. I was standing at the kitchen sink the first time it happened, and my face and shirt front got splattered with water. We didn’t trust the water out of the sink or shower after that. We thought it could be contaminated with the septic. The shower could use an extra shower curtain to keep the water off the walls and in the tub. And the cabin had a musty smell.

Nice location quiet well maintained

− Had to watch so local farm cats didn't come in. Directions were ok bigger signs would be nice.

Simple, cozy space in a beautiful, quiet location just a short drive from Salmon. We slept great, enjoyed a peaceful evening sitting by the fire pit, and the couple visits from farm cats were a nice surprise!

− The bathroom doesn't offer much privacy - this was not an issue for us, but could be problematic for some.
