A couzy place in a fantastic location (200 meters from the sea) and a fantastic host

The property is a small building with 3 rooms (all of them with a small kitchen). We rented all the 3 rooms, so we had the whole building for ourselves. The furniture were quite new and there were a lot of wardrobes for clothing (something that many times we do not find in others facilities).

− There is no elevator and the stairs are quite small, so it is difficult to bring suitcases up and down the stairs

Great location in a very nice village at a small cape with a castle. The B&B is located centrally, close to the square in front of the castle and the beaches. There are many restaurants and cafés nearby. Comfortable apartment with small kitchen. Due to the nature of the building, the room has a small narrow balcony. Breakfast with a voucher in the cafe next to the hotel. Includes one cornetto and one drink only.

− The Booking website and booking confirmation indicate only the street name, without a number. The navigation takes you to the square, but there is no information where the hotel is. We had to ask a local souvenir seller who guided us to the hotel office. It turned out to be closed. Fortunately, the seller knew the owner and called him, and we had to wait about 20 minutes until he arrived. Not very contact and talkative owner, from whom getting information was not too easy. The first thing he did was charge us for the night and warn us of the consequences of losing the keys or not following the check-out time. Taking luggage to the second floor by the spiral staircase with very steep and narrow stairs was a problem. It is inconvenient to use even without luggage. Finding a parking space in the free public parking lot at the end of June was not so easy. In high season, it would be a problem.

Pleasant stay in a nice location close to the Castle and restaurants.

Okay, so this room was very cheap (not that we were after that particularly) - we had the ground floor room (not that we specifically picked it) - but it is definitely not what I would call deluxe. The place was clean, with a decent (but tiny) bathroom. If you are intending to party most of the night and then just crash, it'd be fine but for anything more - forget it. It's a shame because Le Castella is a lovely little resort, with a splendid castle across a short causeway.

− This room is tiny. Deluxe - NO; view - definitely NOT. Okay, we got there quite late (6:15pm), but we had to find the "host" in the Calabria Experience office, using sketchy directions and inside the "Pedestrians Only" ZTL and then nothing was explained to us. As for all the wonderful facilities listed on the posting - we didn't see any of them. None of the room facilities listed were present except for the TV - you banged your back (yes, I mean back) on it as your edged around the bed. We entered a tiny hallway, opened a pocket door into a tiny room, right on the road. We asked for hand soap - got left more shower gel; nothing else. If there are nice facilities elsewhere in the property, we knew nothing about them nor saw any sign of them. Parking is inside a ZTL on public lots; not sure how you'd get on in the main season. The town - and this B&B - was noisy into the small hours and this was out of season.
