Excellent location for our stay. Plenty of room. The view is great. Close to the train station. The town has most things you need and Edinburgh is around 30min away. Some pubs are now empty but the One One Four restaurant is great. Also the coffee roaster moved out of town, but Cafe Verde is quite good.

Very minor, but if you like to wet-shave the mirror is not above the hand basin in the bathroom. And no towel rails. There is a drying rack and the bedrooms have rails, but somewhere to hang the hand towel would by good.

Lots of room to relax

Full sized apartment with lots of space, and a very generous welcome pack in the kitchen. Lots of light, and couches were very comfy to relax in. Free parking, and very close to the train station for easy access to Edinburgh.

The view includes a very ugly dock view as well as the lovely Forth. It’s on the top floor, so lots of stairs to get suitcases up.

Great location with easy access to Edinburgh city. Added bonus with Prosecco, cookies and milk on arrival !

We had a great time using this comfortable apartment as our base to see Edinburgh.

It was 2 minutes to the train station and just a couple of minutes down to the Main Street where the restaurant and grocery stores were. The kitchen had everything we needed. The place was plenty roomy for my the two of us plus our Adult daughter. Beds and couches were comfortable. The view was very nice over water one direction and mountains to the other.

Fab place for an exploration base or just some peace and quiet.

The view from the lounge is amazing. Truly, you'll be a master of self restraint if you don't take a photo of the view to share with friends. Freezer, fridge, washing machine, M/Wave, oven and full hob, iron and ironing board for herself (she loves ironing). One king and one standard double bed. All the necessities available from local shops. Train station a few minutes walk away. Home from home, except it is tidier. :-) Dave, the host, was responsive to questions and provided excellent local advice.

I had probs with the shower temperature and despite Dave being really helpful with advice I simply couldn't master it. BUT there's a bath so I jumped in there instead. Some smoking smell from the flat downstairs. Nothing that Dave could do about that though. Parking - Restricted 2 hours between 9-17:00 but I checked with a warden and it's OK to leave at 11am and park up again at 15:00. So as long as you're out for the day it's just groovy.

That view sitting on those extremely comfortable sofas! Lovely bottle of bubbles and biscuits, water and milk in the fridge very thoughtful. Bed was lovely and big very comfortable, as a tall person this is important Everything was great, the space in general was nice to have, it’s not tiny it’s a good size. It’s so quiet too, really peaceful having my 6am coffee looking out of that window watching the water, sky, bridges and the occasional ship. No issues with parking. The stairs to get to the marvellous views are totally worth it in my opinion, I’ve got two knee replacements and didn’t have to much trouble, there’s only 6 steps on each incline then a landing if you need to pause, I didn’t but you can if needed. Communication was exceptional. Really above and beyond.

Everything was expected so nothing to say in this section
