Very welcoming hotel. Staff were lovely. Lovely hotel. A tad expensive but it was because there was a concert on in llangollen

Disappointing but maybe unlucky!

6.0

Manager was so helpful and welcoming so really appreciated that . Clean room . had parking and pub outside area only 10 mins drive from our booking of the aqueduct canoeing .

Poor food and poor service for evening meal. Waiter couldn’t seem to manage his few tables. Food had been left on side before coming to table as sauce had layer of skin on it, garlic bread all congealed. Asked for a wine with my dinner, was added to bill but not provided so had to ask for adjusted bill when paying. Room window didn’t open more than a few inches so was really stuffy and the fan in the room was so so loud. Noise in night from someone (not sure if from above or side) so barely had any night sleep with it all

Have used the hotel previously. Not maintaining usual good standards.

Easily accessible

Tea, coffee, condiments were missing. Bathroom had no mat.

Good place to stay for the Eisteddfod

8.0

This is a pleasant and large country pub hotel that is a cut above the average. The rooms are attractive and spacious and the breakfast is well presented. The staff were delightful.

We were there for the Eisteddfod in Llangollen, which meant high demand, but I felt that our room up in the attic was a tad overpriced. It was in a heatwave, and these days one would expect an air conditioning unit. Bit everything else was fine.

Great hotel

Well presented rooms, clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful.

I was there on quiz night which was a little loud as my room was directly over it, but then I wasn't trying to sleep so it's not really an issue
