Rustic and quiet place near De Mond Nature Reserve
9.0We enjoyed this rustic, clean and quiet place with a beautiful view. Vogelzang is situated 5km from the De Mond Nature Reserve where you can experience the mouth of the Heuningnes river with exceptional birdlife. Our host Werner Visser was very friendly and went out of his way to help us. We prepared ourselves for a rustic cottage with no electricity (only gas and lamps) and were surprised by the fact that there was cellphone reception.
Amazing birdlife and lovely walks
8.0Extra-ordinary birdlife and peacefulness. Although there is no electricity the cottage has all you need for a happy stay. We just loved every minute of our stay annd will definitely be going back during a different season!
Beautiful cottage on a farm, NO power in unit. This will be a blessing if you want to relax
7.0The place has its own beauty. Set on the farm lands close to Bredasdorp. Good place to have some quiet time.
− We werent well prepared as the unit didnt have any power and the geyser wasnt working. We managed to solve the geyse issue but a bit of a warning about having no power would've been nice.
