Cool gaol
7.0Good location, hardly heard the traffic considering we were next to a busy roundabout. The weather was extremely hot whilst we were there, the thick stone walls kept the apartment cool which was a bonus!
− The whole building is a work in progress, I'm sure the owners will get around to details, such as boxing in pipework, tidying the outside space.

− Entrance was unkept - weeds, door dirty, steps slippy. Poor cleanliness - toilets not cleaned and bins not emptied. Downstairs toilet temperamental Skirtings missing, areas not painted. No mention of stone stairs to upstairs bathroom Window filthy inside and out.

8.0We liked the character of the old gaol with its stone walls and curved stone ceilings. It was comfortable and well equipped. The shower pressure was the best we’ve ever had in Scotland! The bathroom and kitchen were clean.
− The nightstands in the main bedroom were quite dusty, but they were easily cleaned myself.
