Lovely apartment let down by poor communication and an unacceptable arrival experience

Lovely apartment, very modern with 3 similar size bedrooms. We especially liked the terrace area which had views of the beach and spent a rainy evening playing Articulate! Liked the area, we came to walk the coast path although storms meant we only got to do Helford Passage back to Falmouth, which I’d recommend as very pretty and a fairly easy walk.

− The arrival experience was very stressful. We hadn’t been given a code for the car park and had to wait for someone else to let us in. Then the key safe code was wrong and we couldn’t get through to the host. Eventually she called and gave us the code but not apology. Made us late for our restaurant booking and phone reception was too poor to call ahead. All in all unnecessarily stressful and not a good first impression.

Perfect location. Very clean and welcoming.

− Information on how the heating and towel rails function. We could have called the house keeper.

Great location. Spacious apartment.

− This is the only place I have stayed that had no welcome pack. No information about rubbish disposal or recycling. Just let it all pile up in the kitchen. I had to ring the managers to get the wi fi code. Did not feel welcomed.

Fabulous location, well cared for property with pretty much everything one needs. The views were spectacular and the proximity to the beach was ideal. The cafe over the road for breakfast was decent enough and easily walkable to Hooked for a great seafood meal.

− The access instructions could have been better as it was not stipulated that a # was required before entering the key code for either the building or the car park.
