State of the art, contemporary, super responsive, walkable to Basilica of St Joseph of Copertino
8.0The place itself was state of the art, completely modernized (so much that we had to message the owners to turn the heat on because you can't control it from the place). They were very receptive about everything. We loved Osimo - It is beautiful and quaint and we enjoyed a gorgeous sunrise over the nearby mountains. We were able to walk to the Basilica and museum of St Joseph of Copertino - which turned out to be one of our highlights of all the saint sites we visited throughout Italy (FREE entrance, morning mass next to his crypt, an amazing gift shop, and tons of relics to explore). I would love to come back and stay longer!
− I didn't like that the place is very hard to find and get to, especially in the dark after hours of driving. However, this could be helped by the host sending directions in advance with identifying landmarks so you know you are going the right way. It's up a narrow alley, then guessing where in the alley to turn right (in a tight, full parking lot), and then it's not any of the buildings in the perimeter of the parking lot, but actually set back. The host was responsive, but we didn't understand if we were in the right place so we kept circling the neighboring streets - all very tight and compact. She said "by the scaffolding" which there is scaffolding on many of the neighboring streets. It would have helped to know that there is a laundry mat in the parking lot, so at least you know you're in the vicinity (though there is no where to park and hard to turn your car around).
