− We chose this hotel because we wanted something close to the airport for our last night before our flight. The “beach” they offer is actually a small pool by the port, with a bad smell and dirty water—very different from the rest of DR. They offer a shuttle service to the beach, so we booked a pickup at a specific time since we had to check out and head to the airport. However, they forgot to pick us up, and we waited for over 40 minutes. What was even more disappointing was that they didn’t seem to consider it a significant issue. Later, we asked for a short ride back to the beach area to meet our Uber (Uber drivers cannot enter the hotel area, and the hotel taxi was more than twice the price). Although the receptionist had provided the same service to us in the morning and to other guests just a few minutes before, he told us is was not possible and suggested we walk 30 minutes in the sun with our luggage. In the end, after a driver from a nearby hotel kindly offered to take us, they drove us there. During the night, the curtain above the door fell down. We reported it to the same receptionist but no one even came to check or fix it. There were also no bath mats provided, and the bathroom floor floods after every shower. Last but not least, we had specifically requested a vegan breakfast in advance, and at check-in we were assured it would be available. However, the next morning the only option provided was fruit and granola, even though we had paid for a full breakfast. This is certainly not the level of service we expected from a hotel charging around $400 per night.

9.0Ich musste wegen eines gecanceltn Fluges spontan ein Hotel Buchen. Daher war der Aufenthalt nur kurz. Das Personal war außerordentlich freundlich ein late checkout um 17:00 war ohne Aufpreis kein Problem. Es ist ein sehr nettes Boutique Hotel, mit großartigem ala Carte Frühstück das man unter anderem in einem sehr netten Innenhof genießen kann.
