Didn't like the place, wasn't cleaned, so we didn't do anything other than sleep there.

Great location for accessing walks.

The house didn't look clean, on arrival we had to clean the bath of hairs, The whole house was hairy with dog hairs and as we didnt have a dog we know they wernt ours., The hot tap in the bathroom sink didnt work, and when we removed the covers from the bed in the morning the bed was stained. The place was described as being beside the canal but this couldnt be accessed from the house and couldnt be veiwed easily as window was small and at ground level.

Comfy and quiet two nights to explore Calderdale

8.0

Perfect location. Parking space outside house. Quiet. Beautiful cottage features, original stonework. Plentiful hot water. Nice bedding and towels. Kitchen fairly well equipped. Good electric shower (although plastic holder is broken). Comfy bed, good bedside lights and plug socket access.

A few ‘tired’ areas - broken hot water tap, plug chains, broken loo roll holder, peeling rusty radiators, broken shower head holder, hole in ceiling above boiler. Odd selection of mismatched glasses but plentiful mugs/crockery. No coffee maker - a filter jug or cafetière would’ve been welcome. The TV is incomprehensible, perhaps because it’s plugged into what I assume is a cable box but the instructions don’t cover that. I am reasonably techy but could not find a way to log into my own streaming accounts (Netflix/Apple), even after asking the owner who suggested checking the HDMI input. Lots of storage in the bedroom but some was full of the owner’s stuff (inc Christmas decorations!) and only one coat hanger in the wardrobe. Multiple plug sockets/extension leads but none near the dressing table mirror for plugging in the provided hair dryer. My elderly mother struggled to blow dry while kneeling on the bed looking in the mirror above it!!

Lovely little cottage overlooking the canal. Cosy inside. About a 20 minute walk to the centre of Hebden Bridge, some of it along the canal which was very pleasant.

Our sat nav took us into the wrong turning. Not too big a problem as we were very close and we phoned the host who helped us find it. Just be aware. A slightly later check out would be nice. 10 feels a bit early.

Location was ok and convenient for pubs/bars/restaurants in Mytholmroyd/Hebden Bridge

No coat hangers and bathroom hot tap not working. Access to TV was via internet and so passwords required.
