Great price, but misleading photos, uncomfortable furnishings, and a confusing check-in process made it a one-time stay

The best thing about this apartment was the price. We stayed in Barcelona at a very reasonable cost, which we really appreciated. That said, the listing photos on Booking.com make the apartment look much more cozy than it actually is. In reality, the space felt quite austere and lacked warmth. There were some positives. The kitchen was stocked with a tea kettle and a coffee maker with pods and sugar, which was a nice touch. The bed in the main room was comfortable, and both check-in and check-out were straightforward and easy. The building does have an elevator, though it only fits two people at a time. The washer was good too. And they gave us a laundry pod! Excellent perk! Before arrival, there was also some confusion around the fees. After sending a standard request for passport information, we were asked to choose between a €300 refundable deposit (with a €10 processing fee) or a €40 nonrefundable “damage protection” fee. The way this was presented felt unusual and a bit uncomfortable, and came across as somewhat unclear.

− The photos don’t accurately reflect the current condition of the apartment or the building, both of which felt quite rundown. The sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable, and overall there was very little comfortable seating. While the apartment was clean, many of the fixtures, especially in the bathroom and windows, showed significant wear and buildup, and everything felt dated. The location was about a 10-minute walk to the nearest metro, and we often ended up taking taxis into central Barcelona, which cost around €20. There are some shops and restaurants nearby, and we generally felt safe in the area. Overall, while the low price was a major advantage, I wouldn’t choose to stay here again.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Propreté : Établissement extrêmement propre ! Aucun grain de poussière en vue ! Équipé de tout, que ce soit en cuisine -parfait si vous comptez cuisiner-, en literie ou en articles de nettoyage. On s’est vraiment sentis chez nous ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Emplacement : situé dans un bon quartier en périphérie de la ville mais facilement accessible par métro (à 7min de la bouche de métro) ou par bus (à peine 2min). À proximité des restaurants et des supermarchés qui restent ouverts jusque tard dans la soirée. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Personnel : très accueillant et à l’écoute. J’avais plusieurs questions et demandes spéciales auxquelles j’ai reçus des réponses immédiates et positives ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Confort : l’appart est bien spacieux, commode et très cosy. L’espace de vie est climatisé, ce qui n’est malheureusement pas le cas de la chambre à coucher qui dispose quand même d’un petit ventilateur qui peut s’avérer insuffisant en grandes températures. Le matelas de la chambre à coucher est très confortable mais le clic-clac ne l’est malheureusement pas. Il peut se replier à tout moment et n’est pas spécialement duveteux
