Good communication from the host. Very comfortable beds, well equipped , had everything we needed for a short stay.

A place to relax

We loved the table at the window facing towards the beach. Even the balcony at the back had the beach view. The house gave us relaxing vibes and we felt relaxed. Loved the little secure backyard it was good as we travelled with a dog. The walk to town was great on the walking path.

− Just small hiccups, nothing major. No access to lock up garage. Trouble checking in at agreed time. Early check in (at 2p.m) was approved and arrangements were made to check in and then go for Good Friday Service at 3p.m to Mount Gambier (local church didn't have Good Friday service). But the place wasn't ready. We were only able to check in after 2.30p.m. Which didn't give us enough time to travel to Mount Gambier for the service. Alternate travel arrangements could have been made if we were informed that the place wouldn't be ready by 2p.m. A rubbish bin downstairs would be handy as the toilet, bathroom and rooms are located downstairs. Little clothes rack inside would also be handy for rainy / wet days (to air out the towels / clothes etc).

The house itself was easy to find and really nice to stay in, the host was lovely. The views a bit further up the road past the lighthouse were incredible, and the food we could get nearby was great.

− The town honestly stinks, like literally smells awful. Don't know if we just got a bad time of year for algae or something but we don't think we'll visit again. We got into town two minutes later than expected and had to change our dinner plans as they closed the kitchen. Seriously, two minutes, bit slack.

− Booked this property in the morning and I live in Melbourne Drove 5 hours rested at Mount gambier at 1pm waiting for our check in at 2pm. We get a message from Rosa saying that there has been a double booking and she needs to cancel our booking. She “apparently” was trying to get in contact with booking.com to help with alternate accommodation but they “kept hanging up on her”. This would’ve been completely fine if she had done her job and realised earlier that there were 2 bookings on the same day. It looks like to me she might’ve gotten a better offer longer than 2 nights and she decided to take that instead. I have 2 young kids and was forced to stay overnight in the car because there were no available accommodation because it’s the holiday season or I would’ve had to pay over 3k for 2 nights. She ruined our holiday and did little to help when I told her out circumstance all she could tell me is don’t be rude. I didn’t swear in the circumstance I was very polite, and I’ll say again what I said to her in the message if you are not capable of running an airbnb then find another business. And if it was booking.com fault you should do whatever you can to try and help not tell me to do it.
