The Worst Accommodation Experience of My Life !

One of the worst experiences I have ever had. The listing is extremely misleading. Upon arrival, the neighborhood felt unsafe, dirty, and poorly maintained, completely different from what was advertised. The room had a very strong unpleasant odor, and the overall condition of the property was unacceptable. As a woman traveling alone, I did not feel safe staying there, so I left immediately without completing check-in or spending a single night at the property. I informed the owner of my concerns right away and explained why I could not stay, but no satisfactory solution was offered. Despite never using the accommodation, I was denied a full refund. If you value your safety and expect the property to match its description, I strongly recommend booking somewhere else. I would give this place zero stars if that were possible.

− Booking.com failed to properly handle my complaint. I reported the issues immediately, informed the owner that I could not stay because I felt unsafe, and left without spending a single night at the property. Despite this, I have not received a full refund. It is very disappointing that Booking.com appears not to adequately verify the properties or the hosts listed on its platform. This experience has significantly reduced my trust in Booking.com, as travelers should be protected from misleading listings and unsafe accommodations.

instructions de la part de l'hôte très claires mise a disposition d'un salon et d'une cuisine équipée

− pas de chauffage. les instructions indiquaient que c’était un chauffage centralisé et qu'il était inutile de régler les radiateurs... mais le chauffage était manifestement coupé, tous les radiateurs (Sale de bain comprise) étaient froids

The location was excellent for Excel; maintained very clean and great communication from the host

− The host’s working hours being variable sometimes affected the noise level disturbing sleep (only because the guest room was directly below the host’s.) Probably not much can be done about this issue I guess. I have to state in his defence that the host’s politeness and courtesy was next to none
