Great way to stay in the coutryside, away from all stress!!
9.0Beautiful design and layout. Tiny homes are amazing! My first chance to stay on a farm, but with eco-conscious focus: solar energy, composting toilet, & the full propane bbq, which allows patio cooking. Bring your own veggie burgers! The hosts were super-helpful 😊, suggesting local attractions. There is even a pool across the road, but the rainy weather made this less possible. Great for cycling accommodation, since everything you need is right there, so you csn have a rest day. Loved the ride to Owhango, so I could check out the infamous 42 Traverse for a test ride. Another ride, another time, but looks doable, at least the 4-wheel road is open..., though a section of the single track is washed out. (As of Feb 2025). Also hiking nearby... Located right on the transit route between the Timber Trail and trails for the Mountains to Sea ride.
− I needed to change my dates, but was too late in doing this, so I was stuck with extra nights.
