Charming, memorable stay in the Blue Mts region.
9.0Great secluded location in Megalong Valley. Large, well-appointed cottage, with lots of heating options for our winter stay, including a log fire. Very helpful and responsive host. Large property with excellent walks at property and nearby in Blue Mountains.
Relaxing

Relaxing in the Valley
10.0The cottage was so incredibly inviting, cute and clean with all the conveniences you want. And of course the location and view was stunning and so so relaxing.
Great week away with the family in the bush in a lovely home with all that you need
9.0Location (peace and quiet in wilderness), great host with plenty of information and little touches to make us feel welcome, comfy home for a relaxing bush week away
− It’s remote so didn’t expect city comforts (so nothing we didn’t like based on that)
Fantastic stay at a gorgeous cottage in the beautiful Megalong Valley!
10.0My wife and I stayed at the cottage for 3 nights and we had a wonderful time. The cottage is gorgeous. The cottage features a large open-plan kitchen, dining and lounge area (with a great indoor fireplace) with ample windows for morning and afternoon light. There is a great covered front deck off this area, with its own dining table and an additional small table and seating for 2 people, all of which face west for great afternoon sun. The outlook from this area is very nice as it goes out through a set of gum trees to a fenced paddock beyond and then further onto other properties in the distance. While the gum trees partly obscure some of the sunsets to west, we walked about 200m to the corner of the front paddock for beautiful unobstructed views of some stunning sunsets. There are two bedrooms, with the main bedroom at the front of the property facing west with a good sized queen bed and then a second bedroom facing the rear of the property to the east, with a slightly smaller double bed and bunk above it). The bathroom is nice with a shower over a bathtub. At the side of the property (facing north) there is a great outdoor fire pit with several wooden chairs and bench seating. We used both of the fires (indoor and outdoor) during our stay. Sharon (our host) had set them both up ready to light which was very convenient. Subsequent fires we self-setup, which weren't too difficult. Sharon had also provided a bottle of wine and some chocolate biscuits on our arrival, which was very nice. All our communication with Sharon was excellent as were the instructions in the guidebook in the accommodation. All in all, our stay at the cottage was fantastic and I'd highly recommend it and the surrounding area and activities.
