− I stayed at Whispering Waters Cottage in Kodaikanal for 3 nights, and it was a terrible experience from start to finish. The owner/caretaker was shockingly rude, arrogant, and completely unprofessional. Despite having clarified all details about the stay and charges in advance, he argued aggressively over money, showing zero courtesy or respect. His behavior was dismissive, impolite, and completely ruined our mood during what was supposed to be a relaxing trip. Instead of hospitality, we were met with hostility and arrogance. On top of that, the property was not well-maintained. It was unclean, poorly managed, and nowhere close to what was promised in pictures or descriptions. I would strongly advise against booking this place. There are far better options in Kodaikanal with professional hosts who actually care about their guests. This place is simply not worth the hassle.
Exceptional location/ property, tucked away from the noisy bustle, yet accessible. Wonderful people.
