What a beautiful space! Perfect to relax and enjoy nature, so many bird species, plants, pure heaven! Great design, comfortable and definitely did not miss the air conditioning at all and that was my fear to be honest. So happy I did not make this sway my decision on booking! When we come back, I would definitely like to stay there again.

Rainforest paradise

It was a first-class rainforest retreat even by American standards. It looked like the best accommodations on the island. Honestly, the other places looked worn and weathered by the harsh ocean air. This place is new, fresh, clean, neatly decorated, and it was loaded with pleasant surprises. 1. The ocean was only about 150 yards away, and we had a fabulous view of it from our huge patio. 2. The highspeed internet made it easy to “work from home.” My boss had no clue I was thousands of miles away. 3. You can trust the water!! That’s not the case everywhere in Panama, but this self-sustaining filtered rainwater setup was amazing. I thought maybe we’d run out of water, but that wasn’t a problem. 4. The howler monkeys visited almost every day and put on quite a show. 5. Our hosts Debra and Scott were wonderful. They gave us tons of information before the trip including contact information for a couple of taxi drivers who would happily schedule pickups as necessary if we didn’t want to flag a cab on the main road (which was actually pretty easy). 6. Taxis were only a couple $ per person into town. They drove by quite frequently. 7. We took a surf lesson from Mono Loco Surf school. The instructor was great, and he took us to another island about 5 minutes away on a water taxi where we found perfect glassy waves. 8. We found a first-class scuba dive center called BocasDiveCenter and enjoyed a couple of fun scuba days. 9. We found great dining at Bibi’s which was a short water taxi ride to the neighboring island. My favorite meal was at nearby restaurant called “The View” at a resort called the Oasis. 10. We rented an ATV and drove along the beach from beach bar to beach bar sipping Piña Coladas along the way. Overall, this was a great experience, and I recommend this place highly.

Absolutely stunning; We experienced heaven on earth! Our stay at Casa Botanica was absolutely wonderful and exceeded our expectations by far. Situated in walking distance to the beach and right next to the Botanical gardens the property is a true gem right in the very heart of nature. Upon arrival we were welcomed by Maiky, the housekeeper, and received a warm and personal welcoming. The property is beautifully designed, thoroughly maintained and the house as well as the guests quarters were super clean. The kitchen is well equipped to serve even larger groups and all basics like salt, peppers etc were available. We were really impressed by the natural swimming pond which was the best and most peaceful experience ever! The owners must have invested lots of love and effort into the design of the property and it's gardens. Sitting on the terraces we were overwhelmed by the variety of birds, little monkeys, butterflies and plants and flowers and and and...I don't even know where to start nor where to end, We felt like being beamed right into Adam and Eve's paradise. We enjoyed and appreciated the mindful and sustainable setup of the property with a focus on "eco-friendly" practices like rain water recuperation, recycling, etc. Lots of attention is given to so so many details and this truly sets this place apart from anyything we have so far seen in Panama. From the moment of booking until we left Bocas we felt well cared for. Debra, the host, made us feel like family members while still keeping a respectful and professional distance. She responded immediately to every of my messages and we received lots of advice and great recommendations for activities, making our stay a Nirvana experience. We will come back....

− Es ist extrem laut, direkt neben dem Hotel ist eine Groß-Baustelle - Dort wird 7 Tage die Woche von morgens bis abends gearbeitet. Länger als 7 Uhr ist kein Schlaf möglich. Entgegen der Beschreibung kein privater Strand vorhanden. Der Naturpool ist unbenutzbar, da er offensichtlich seit Monaten nicht geputzt wurde. Die Wände sind mit Algen überzogen und auf den Sitzflächen im Pool haben sich inzwischen Schnecken breit gemacht. Das habe ich bisher in keinem anderen Naturpool gesehen. Am Tag der Anreise war Tierkot auf einem der Betten. Es gibt keine Klimaanlage.
