Nice house, dirty pool, dishonest host.
3.0The house was nice, plenty of room for a family of five. The games room in the garage was very popular as well as the pool area.
− The pool was dirty when we arrived. Wasn't properly cleaned until four days later. In a message the host told us it was indeed "swimable"! At the end of our stay we asked about the possibility of a late checkout but were told it would cost extra. Checkout would be at 10 am. Then in further message we were informed that the checkout was at 11 am. However the cleaning crew showed up at 10.20 am and told us we had to leave immediately, practically threw us out. The host didn't bother to answer my messages about this. Shortly before arrival we were charged a $250 security deposit. This was in addition to what we had already paid, which was supposed to be the total rental amount. This deposit would then be refunded 14 business days after check out. In short we never received the refund. The host hasn't bother to answer my inquiries about why despite numerous attempts to contact him.
