We had such a lovely stay! The place was cosy, peaceful, and surrounded by beautiful nature. The jacuzzi was definitely the highlight—so relaxing, especially with the amazing view over the lake. It was comfortable, and perfect for a quiet getaway. We would definitely love to come back. Highly recommended

SELF-CATERING. All facilities for cooking on hand. Kitchen has all mod cons. Instant hot water was a bonus. Communication from the host was excellent; always in phone contact if needed but not interrupting our stay...perfect! Location is idyllic for a relaxing stay with garden overlooking pond and blissful hot tub permanently on - glorious birdsong every morning.

− All was in order for our stay. One lamp in the dining area was not working and the front of the cabin needed a paint-job which was happening on our departure day so, all was being upgraded for future guests.

Could be a really lovely place but the cleanliness lets it down.

* Lovely area with a pretty lake and abundant wildlife regular birds and rabbits, and the natural sounds are a real highlight. Although I would say it’s not a lake it’s a pond. * Shops and a pub are within a 20-minute walk, which is convenient. * Getting to the general area is easy. * The lodge is cosy—slightly smaller than the photos suggest, but still comfortable and nice. * Kitchen is well equipped with everything you need, and appliances work as expected. * Hot tub is a nice feature.

− * Finding the exact property is harder than expected once you’re nearby—signage or instructions could be clearer. * The lamp in the living room doesn’t work, making lighting all-or-nothing and a bit frustrating. * The main house is much closer than shown in the photos; privacy is poor, especially when the family uses the garden. * An unsettling arrival: a lady sleeping on a bench for about 20 minutes and no greeting or communication from people on site. No one talks to you and when sharing a space this is a little awkward. * Egg chair is covered in bird poo, so not a usable feature. * Significant cleanliness issues: visible cobwebs that a quick sweep would fix, crumbs/food on the floor from previous guests, and a bathroom that needs a thorough clean. * Heating was left on during a heat wave. A fan would be good. * Toilet roll holder needs fixing, not just left on the floor. * Patio Doors are VERY difficult to close, makes you nervous of opening. * Overall lack of privacy and cleanliness detracts heavily from the experience. Overall This could be an incredible lodge with some care, better cleaning, a working living-room lamp, clearer directions, and honest photos about proximity to the main house. As it stands, the combination of limited privacy and subpar cleanliness means we wouldn’t return

Everything was just amazing for me. The privacy- you are literally 1to 1 with just nature, ducks and a pond! It felt like coming home! Thank you so much for very safe and nourishing environment you have created!🧡💛💚💙🩵💜

Had a beautiful garden and nice space outside to admire the surroundings and wildlife, hot tub was great and kitchen had everything we needed

− There were lots and lots of spiders all over the inside of the cottage aswell as cobwebs everywhere , the swinging egg chair outside was also unusable due to the amount of bird poo and cobwebs left on it.
