We had a wonderful two week holiday during the summer, starting with a warm welcome from host Vedran. He explains everything perfectly, is highly accessible for tips, and the house is truly yours. When we stayed, he maintained the garden and pool twice a week, ensuring very good water quality! The cozy, exceptionally clean, and well-equipped house is located in the peaceful tiny village of Brest. A major advantage during the heat is the higher elevation, making it slightly cooler here. The house naturally stays very cool inside (the air conditioning is a great extra but was often unnecessary) and the pool provides the extra refreshment. As an extra convenience, a mobile grocery van stops by three times a week. Despite the tranquility, the road to Buzet means supermarkets and restaurants are just a 15-20 minute easy drive away. We explored the Umag beach, Slovenian caves, Italian Miramare and Trieste and Istrian towns like Rovinj, Pazin, Hum and Motovun. Climbing Mount Žbevnica is also highly recommended for the stunning view! After an active day of sightseeing, it was always a delight to return to the quiet of Brest and jump into the pool and enjoy the great house, barbecue and different seating spots. Finally, as it's summer, expect to see insects: beautiful butterflies, for instance, and yes, also a few thirsty wasps. Just give them a bowl of water with rocks close to the pool and let them be, and you will be alright. They show absolutely no interest in people, food, or drinks. Thanks Vedran, Astrid and family!

− It is good to know that the bells of the church next door ring three times a day (including at 7:00 AM). We slept with the windows and shutters closed, which worked perfectly fine. Additionally, the mattress in the big bedroom could perhaps use an upgrade, but after swapping rooms with the kids, we all slept very well!

Der Pool.Und die Willkommensplatte zum Essen

− Der extreme Wespen Befall am Pool. Leider muss man 30 Minuten fahren zum nächsten Einkaufsladen wie Lidl oder Aldi. Kein direkter Zugang vom Haus zum Pool. Da die Straßen sehr eng sind ist es sehr gefährlich mit dem Auto da es steil Berg ab gehen kann. Hohes Risiko.

Willkommensgeschenk in Form einer kalten Käse/Schinken/Brot Platte ♥️. Sehr freundlicher und hilfsbereiter Vermieter. Schöner Pool mit ausreichender Größe. Top Ausstattung in Küche. Insgesamt alles in einem neuwertigen Zustand und sehr sauber. Insgesamt ein Top Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis m.M.

Wir werden dieses Urlaub nicht so schnell vergessen. Die Unterkunft ist eine Oase zum erholen. Unser Vermieter Vedran hat uns herzlich willkommen geheißen und war für Fragen offen. Mit Tipps stand er uns zur Seite. Das Haus ist mit allen ausgestattet was man benötigt. Wir können es einfach nur empfehlen dort Urlaub zu machen.
