Very enjoyable stay

The Villa and location are great.We had a car so it was good being close to the main route - but sufficiently away that it doesn't impact sitting by the pool with any noise pollution. The hosts are very caring and hospitable. Villa is bright and airy. People comment in reviews about beds and pillows, which always seems pointless as it is very subjective - I found the bed and pillows really comfy, my husband less so. This was not an issue for us particularly (and seems to be common these days in the Greece localities) but, although listed as an entire villa, the hosts live on site in a basement apartment. They are not at all intrusive, but are attentive and we really appreciated the tomatoes, cucumbers and melons etc. that used to be left for us 😊.

Perfekte Pool-Oase als Ausgangspunkt für Kreta-Erkundung

Wir (zwei Erwachsene mit zwei erwachsenen Töchtern) haben 10 Tage in der Villa verbracht. Kurz gesagt: eine sehr schöne Unterkunft mit allem, was man braucht und ein paar Extras, die man nicht erwarten würde. Die Gastgeber sind ausgesprochen freundlich, sprechen sogar Deutsch und haben uns regelmäßig mit frischen Feigen und Melonen versorgt. Der Pool ist ein echtes Highlight: sauber, nicht einsehbar und rund um die Uhr nutzbar. Gerade diese Privatsphäre hat uns sehr gefallen. Rund ums Haus gibt es viel Garten, Palmen&Oliven, sodass man wirklich seine Ruhe hat. Das Haus ist gut ausgestattet: gute Klimaanlagen, die man kaum braucht, weil es drinnen ohnehin angenehm kühl bleibt. Mückenschutz ist vorhanden, das WLAN zuverlässig, der Fernseher groß (Netflix funktioniert mit eigenem Account) und die Küche ist so ausgestattet, dass man problemlos selbst kochen kann. Zwei Terrassen mit Meerblick in der Ferne sorgen dafür, dass man immer irgendwo gemütlich im Schatten sitzen kann. Die Besitzer wohnen in einer Einliegerwohnung unten im Haus. immer hilfsbereit, wenn man etwas braucht, gleichzeitig absolut respektvoll, was die Privatsphäre betrifft. Es gibt einen freundlichen Hund, den man schnell ins Herz schließt und falls doch jemand kein Hundemensch sein sollte, kann dieser im abgegrenzten Hundebereich bleiben. In 15 Minuten ist man zu Fuß an einem kleinen Steinstrand, mit dem Auto ist man schnell auf der Hauptstraße und damit überall auf der Insel. Viele Sehenswürdigkeiten sind gut erreichbar. Fazit: Eine ruhige, private und sehr gepflegte Unterkunft mit herzlichen Gastgebern. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Hinweis zur Anfahrt: Die Einfahrt ist beim ersten Mal etwas tricky. Google zeigt aus Richtung Heraklion eine Linksabbiegung an, das darf man dort nicht. Besser: langsam fahren, auf den Standstreifen wechseln, bis zur nicht asphaltierten Abfahrt rollen, rechts abbiegen und unter der Brücke durch. Danach findet man es leicht.

Amazing and tranquil house that was very private from other surrounding properties. It was close to a lovely beach that we visited a lot. Easy short drive to anything you could want or need. Hosts were extremely welcoming and generous.

− Only thing that caught us a little surprise and wasn't very clear in the description or the booking information is that while you get the house to yourself, the hosts are staying in an apartment under the house. To be fair, we didn't really notice or see them during out stay so they respect your privacy a lot - we heard them talking a few times during the evenings. Would be nice if the Booking didn't say "The whole place to yourself" and then only in the Host description says that the hosts are staying on the premise as well.
