Great location for an overnight stay to attend a wedding at East Mersea Hall. Caravan is light and bright with modern furnishings. Very clean throughout so completely different to the negative review I had read. We hardly used the facilities as we didn't need to cook anything but there seemed to be a good range of kitchen items. Hot water for the kitchen and bathrooms was plentiful once the boiler went on and in terms of heating, it soon got cosy and warm when we got back in the evening. The bedding was clean and bright. Double sofa bed in the lounge was really handy as one of the party is 6 foot tall and the single beds were just too small for him. Two toilets is a bonus - one is single and the other is in the shower room. Contact with the owner is easy and friendly, he is concerned to make sure that you have a safe and pleasant stay and is very responsive with any queries which was much appreciated

− As a private booking, you are directed by security staff through the barrier into the park. However this means you don't have a map so worth calling to Reception first. We got a bit lost trying to locate the caravan. The Booking com Description is inaccurate in terms of beds. There are 3 rooms with one double and then 2 x small singles in each of the other two rooms. There are no towels provided as the description currently states. All this has been raised with the owner for info as these didn't impact our stay on this occasion but could be an issue for others. Having dealt with him on the phone I'm sure this will be sorted. For families also be aware there is no decking so the patio windows at the end of the caravan open on to a 2-3 foot drop.

Nothing, the so called cottage was mis sold as it was a mobile trailer on a holiday site. Not suitable for our needs. The owner mis represented the ‘cottage that is failing to describe the actual property. A clear case of mis representation

− Dirty sheets, no reception, no wifi, wasn’t a cottage, no network, very small rooms. No emergency facilities and no disabled access. No site manager to direct us. It was a shocking experience that has left us to question if we will use Bookings.Com.
