Lovely group trip away in Donegal
10.0The hosts were absolutely lovely. Met us at the property to go through check in and how to use heating, appliances, etc. The property size was great, we had 4 adults and 4 kids (including 2 babies). Plenty of room for all of us. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. Kids had an absolute blast. We had the option to use the stove, it heated the water/radiators which eliminated the need for using the oil. Host advised us the fuel was free to use which was very generous of them! The location was perfect, Milford town is 5 minutes away by car and has grocery stores/coffee shops/take aways.
− We were initially shocked to hear about the 200euro damage deposit and the pay for oil/electric. I had not read the description thoroughly so missed that part (my own fault not the hosts). However after speaking to the host completely understand the need to do same. Full deposit was returned without any issues and hosts couldn't have been nicer.
Fabulous house, beautiful location
9.0Lovely house with plenty of room and set in a beautiful location. In the countryside but 2 mins to the shops.
− Thought paying separate for oil and electric was unusual, but for 9 people staying 3 nights it was only around E30 so not really a problem at all!
If you decide to book this house please make sure you check meter readings on day of arrival or you could end up paying
6.0Property is a great size house for large groups but beware of hidden charges
− Unfortunately after paying for stay only found out less than a week before arrival that oil and electric are extra and would be taken out of the €200 damage deposit .Meter readings were done before we arrived and oil meter was in a locked shed so couldn’t be checked ( in fairness I probably wouldn’t have thought to check I am probably too trusting )but on check out was told we had used 221+lites of oil over our 3 night stay at a charge of €192 + €13 for electricity so no deposit returned.House was freezing on arrival ( it’s winter ) so heating was on for 6/7 hours first night but only sporadically over the next 2 days as we were out and about during the day .Really struggle to believe meter reading was accurate and this stay has left a sour taste .As a family of 8 we rent houses around Ireland almost every bank holiday weekend and never had an issue like this before.
Lovely home to spend time in.
10.0Really cozy, loads of room to sleep 6 of us. We didnt use the bbq but the option was there . Couldn't complain at all
