This place is a scam.

The room was fairly clean and big.

It was the worst experience in my 2 months stay in Nepal. The room has no fan so it can be very hot, but not all the windows are with a screen so can't keep them open at night because of bugs. They will still enter the room even all the windows are shut, and disturb sleep. Even the cheapest accommodatins in Nepal always have a fan but this doesn't. The wifi connection was very bad, hardly connectable in the room, had to stay outside of the room to use internet, being a easy prey for the mosquitoes. When I asked the pass for wifi, the lady couldn''t tell me and called the owner in Kathmandu, and told me to talk with him. He has very strong accent and it was next to impossible to communicate with him via phone and it took so much time to just get a pass for the wifi. It's beyond my comprehension why they don't simplly just write it down a note or print a QR code like elsewhere in Nepal. They were so unprofessionally unprepared to welcome a guest. He also tried to sell their overpriced dinner. I kept asking what menu is available, and how much. He almost told the ladies to prepare the dal bhat wthout telling me the price. Finally I asked how much again he said 450. In other places in Tansen it's 200. I managed to decline this offer but this conversation made me feel very uncomfortable and tired. The inclusive breakfas was jusst tea, toasts, and an omelet. better eat somewhere else. It was already well below my usuall expectations, but what I hated most about this place was that the owner tried to overcharge. The price I booked via Booking.com was USD5.36 for a night, which is around NPR800. I asked the guy how much it'd be exactly in NPR. He didn't tell me that he needed to check in a office. In other accommodations it only takes 2 seconds to tell the price and here he couldn't tell the price of his own property's room. But he still asked me how many nights I intend to stay without telling me the room price yet.

I was unwell with a sinus infection, I had a pleasant stay and found James and his mother very kind, & helpful.

Location is very central. Views are nice. Staff are very helpful & friendly.

I did communicate this to James he may need to alter the facilities included in Booking.com - no hot water, no toilet paper or amenities included. The towel provided was quite dirty. Bathroom had not been cleaned from previous guest. No fan in room and it was quite hot even with window open. No closet or wardrobe as mentioned. Dal Bhat was 500 rupees which is quite expensive, other places 200 rupees.

Rekommenderar!
