− There was nothing we didn’t like.
A perfect stay for two, in beautiful countryside, yet close to the buzz of Belfast
10.0We loved the cottage, it was comfortable and clean, and had all facilities we wanted or needed. Everything was to a high standard, and the view over Scrabo is lovely. We regularly travel to Belfast to visit friends/family and Ashbrook is one of the best places we have stayed, if not the best. The location is in beautiful countryside, and quiet surroundings but at the same time, being on the edge of Belfast you are within a short car journey of shops, restaurants and all Belfast has to offer. Its also a great base to explore Strangford Lough, and further afield in Northern Ireland. The hosts Carol and Bill were very welcoming and friendly and made us feel at home.
− We couldn't find fault with anything. The only practical thing to note, is that while there is a bus stop 10/15 mins walk away, and its a 30-40 min walk into Dundonald/Stormont, you probably do need a car as the road leading up to the cottage is only paved on part of the route.
