10.0Excellent accommodation in the prettiest village
− Dinner menu only had a choice of pizzas on it. Very good pizzas but if you didn’t fancy pizza you’d be pretty stuck
Cosy ,friendly pub
10.0Lovely cosy pub ,kind friendly staff and excellent location for walking out on the fells . Delicious pizza’s when you return and a great breakfast to set you up in the morning , We often stay here on our way up to the Scottish highlands ,close to the M6 but in a pretty peaceful village .

10.0Wonderful staff. Thanks again all! Great accommodation, food, tranquility and location.
Nice stay
10.0Location Size of room Good nights sleep
− No road lights on road to venue.pitch black on way home
Beautiful location. Friendly people
6.0Breakfast was nice but as someone who doesn't eat meat the only cooked option for me was eggs. They were very tasty. There was a display of cheeses etc and twice I reported a fly sitting on the food. Was left uncovered.
− There were two antique single beds in my room. One I struggle to sleep in a small bed but also the beds creaked really badly every time I moved. They look lovely but not practical. The lock on my door was in a bad state. The handle was loose on the outside and it was very difficult to turn the key. I was locked in for 5 minutes the morning I was leaving. I called the pub for help but it just went to answerphone. Its lucky there wasn't a real emergency 😕
would love to return soon
10.0the location was just what we wanted calm, peaceful and within easy reach of places to visit
− stay was too short
