1.0The location is near main street a lots of noise. The windows are not closed,
− The staff, there was no water in the kitchen, toilet.
The property claimed to have formal evidence, but did not provide it to us.
1.0The place is a Appartmen building near the The Arc de Triomf close to two Bus tations of the Tourist-Hop-On-Hop-Off Bus lines. The Window to the street is huge the kitchen is rather well maintained.
− I would advise future guests to be very careful with this Company (My Space Barcelona), especially regarding the security deposit. After our stay, the EUR 400 security deposit was withheld. The reason given was an alleged party/noise disturbance, which we dispute. No party or event took place in the apartment, and during our stay we were never warned, contacted, called, or visited by staff, police, city council representatives, building management, or neighbours about any alleged disturbance. When we asked for evidence, the property stated that there were formal reports from Barcelona City Council and the residents’ association. However, no documents, reference numbers, timestamps, noise-monitoring logs, complaint records, or proof clearly linking the alleged incidents to our apartment were provided to us. What concerned me most was that we were initially informed that the deposit had been returned, but later discovered that EUR 400 had actually been retained. The property then stated that the decision was final. After our experience, I checked other public reviews and found similar complaints regarding deposit retention, poor customer service, and check-in/key access issues. This did not feel like an isolated misunderstanding. Regarding the apartment itself, it may be acceptable for families with children or shorter guests, but it was not ideal for our group. Although it is marketed for up to 8 people, most of us are around 187 cm tall, and we had real issues with the mattress and Bathroom sizes and overall sleeping comfort. The pool area looks much better in the pictures than it did during our stay. It appeared less well maintained than expected, and some of the surrounding steps are loose or not boldet , which made the area feel less safe and less comfortable to use.
