Peaceful relaxed cabins just out of town
9.0Coal Miner's Cabins are exacty as advertised. We were greeted by friendly staff at reception, and easily directed to the building we were staying in. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The windows opened wide to let in fresh air, or allow better photos of the scenery, reindeer, or artic foxes. The beds are comfy, and linen too. There is a lovely seating area that we utilised, and also the laundry. I did have to empty the filter in the dryer, but other than that, all good. It's very peaceful being just out of town - we loved it! The breakfast provided is ample, and delicious - set us up for the day - plenty of variety. We also dined a few times in the evening, and enjoyed the meals, the atmosphere, and the lovely staff serving our drinks. It is about a 25 minute walk into town - very straight forward - and completely safe as within town limits. We did this almost every day - a leisurely walk :) The shuttle bus that meets all plane arrivals, and picks up for all departures at Coal Miners Cabins, was easy = paying by card on the bus = and very efficient.
− nothing- highly recommend if you like the peace and quiet of not being on top of each other.
