Enjoyable stay once we had overcome a few maintenance issues

Great location for exploring the wye valley area, and fine southward views (especially from the hot tub!). We loved sitting around the wood burner in the evening too (bring your own firewood). We loved that we could take our dog with us, the garden is fully dog proof (she would have found a hole if there was one!)

− We had some issues with the electrical supply on arrival which meant half the house was without power (including the boiler), but the hosts were responsive on booking.com messenger and we got it sorted within an hour or two. We found a few things in poor repair eg a shower that couldn’t be used as the drain was flooding, but have fed these back to the hosts. The listing is clear that there is no WiFi, and although we found mobile service to be fine, what the listing really means is that there’s no internet to the property, which means no TV - unless you can stream via your phone. The hot tub lid is really heavy - necessary as it can get windy - but might be a struggle for a single adult to manoeuvre depending how strong you’re feeling!
