- Location: A wonderful rural treat for everybody that loves the slow country side. This house is perfect when you like to cook and need a quiet retreat with space around you. It feels as being in a painting. - Host: Contact with host was perfect, smooth and trustworthy. The host provided multiple spot on recommendations. We felt very well informed, thank you. - House: Two plusses: the fireplace in the living room and the terrass overlooking the West which is perfect for a full on sunset. The house is spacious with comfy beds, sufficient linen and towels and beautiful views wherever you look. Multiple bathrooms with toilet. One bathroom with bath, one with a small shower cabin. Laundry machine available. No swimming pool or spacious garden to cool down on a hot day. - Kitchen: Love: the pasta board to make your own pasta. The house has a proper kitchen that allows for some decent home cooking. Equiped with dishwasher, oven, microwave and sufficient fridge space with freezer. Basics are at hand, such as dry herbs, sugar, salt and coffee. Basic utensils available. Real foodies want to bring their own favourite utensils and stock. Larger families might want to inquire for sufficient china. - Getting there: The house is quite uphill and you get there over small roads with quite a few hairpin turns. Parking for two small cars. No shops in the immediate vicinity. The area invites to go out and explore. - Do here: read a book, play board games, make a puzzle, listen to music, cook or bake because you come here to quiet down. You can go out: hike or bike the hills, explore the neighbouring villages, visit a balsamico factory (recommend: Acetaia Cavalli) or enjoy one of the neighbouring cities. It takes approximately 1 hour to arrive at Parma, Modena or Reggio Emilia with excellent restaurants and great historic city centres.
