3.0The communication with the owner was very good.
− Some of the furniture was very worn and the upholstery was stained. The bathroom looked like a storeroom. tiny, cobwebs everywhere. The bathroom was dirty and some things were broken. Hot water was only available in dribs and drabs. The house was freezing cold (situated at an altitude of around 2,400 metres). With an outside temperature of 13 degrees, there was only an open fireplace (nothing was prepared) for self-heating as a source of warmth, but no possibility of heating the bedrooms in the attic (or the bathroom). Overall, we had the impression that the owner had given the key to someone for guests and that there was actually no approach for a holiday rental. You had to gather the (completely old and wildly mixed) towels from a shelf yourself. The bedspreads didn't really look fresh either. In short, a real letdown - and completely overpriced.

8.0The cabin is a cosy place on a off the woody lot easy to reach with a normal car. It has a well stocked kitchen (all utensils a little dated but perfectly functional), a dinner table big enough for 5-6 persons (we were 4) and a couch corner in front of a chimney which we put to good use (thankfully the owner readily provided us with wood). Upstairs there were two simple bedrooms, one with a queen bed, the other with a slightly bigger one, both stocked with lots of blankets (you will need them because of the cold). We had a great time there, going on hikes and spending evenings in front of the open fire. The owner was really helpful and responsive!
− Only downside was the bathroom. Sorry, but that's why I can only give an 8. It was very small, shower had an electric shower head (no idea why anyone would still be using those- only little water comes out and it's never really warm) and it was on the ground floor - so if you have to go during the night you have to get down a steep narrow staircase half asleep. Not fun. There is another room upstairs which was locked- I guess it's the owners private bathroom? I would have LOVED to use it!
Perfect sanctuary
10.0This was a sanctuary after a long, cold, wet ride on our motorcycles in the dark.
