A great place to stay
10.0Fabulous little home away from home in a great location for some city time without being stuck in the concrete jungle
This cozy home had everything needed, it felt more like somewhere you could live long term than the typical short term r
10.0Well equipped for working from home
Perfect city getaway
10.0Great location, close to family in the city, and for a city that is so hilly, the property is easily accessible (one of our party uses a walker and it was really easy for them). The property itself is welcoming and cosy, with a lot of bird life around. It is quiet at night, but an easy walk to the local cafe strip and just a few minutes on the bus into the CBD. I am already planning to visit again.
fantastic relaxing stay
10.0wonderful location and off street parking is a real bonus
Modern, clean cosy cottage.
9.0It was quiet and peaceful away from the hustle and bustle of the city but close enough to walk or get a bus. Also walking distance from Zealandia and Kelburn - recommend the Village pub. Handy to have off road parking. Inside was modern and clean with care having been taken in choice of colour decor. I appreciated the art work. The beds were very comfy.
− On arrival I didn't have any Internet or phone connection. So couldn't contact the owners. Fortunately I had written down the code for key lock but not the WiFi code. We had to walk into town to find somewhere with the Internet in order to get the WiFi code for the accommodation from the Booking.com message as it wasn't written in the house manual. The sitting area could have been more comfortable, and would have been a squash for more than 2 people. There was no draining board to put wet dishes on. So as not to spoil the worktops, I used a tea towel to absorb the water as they drained. I couldn't workout the outside clothes line, if it should lift up and out? The pegs would have been better kept inside so they don't rust/perish/get dirty. I used the pulley clothes maiden in the porch but a couple of things did blow off.
It was a lovely restful place to come back to after a busy day out and about.
8.0Very handy to the city and easy to get to different places. Loved the bush outlook and the bird song. Private back courtyard great to sit out in on a sunny afternoon. Excellent facilities.
− The microwave was very difficult to access - too high and hard to reach across the fridge unless you were very tall - which we weren't. We were reluctant to use it as we didn't think it safe using it with anything liquid. A small gripe - the dishwasher water temperature was not hot enough to dissolve the dishwashing tablets provided, so we ended up washing the dishes by hand.
This property will not accommodate hen, stag or similar parties.
