Great accommodations and location for trips to Shenandoah National Park
9.0Very nice and quiet location. The grounds were very nice. The room was very clean, spacious and simple which served us well for our couple days stay.
− The shower head did not stay up in place. It did not bother me since I do not mind using it as a hand held shower head.
Next time I’d love to stay much longer, and do more exploring. Stanardsville is so pretty!
10.0This is the most unique place I’ve ever stayed. Lovely property surrounded by woods, ponds, meditation spaces, really beautiful. I had a huge suite that looked like it was borrowed from Versailles. Casina Rococo. Beautiful furnishings, a combination of rustic and elegant. Very spacious, well appointed kitchenette. I truly could have lived there for weeks! There were several special places to stay on the property, next time I’d love to stay in the Hobbit Hill “home”. There are traditional rooms in the bigger buildings on the property as well.
− One complaint, I was out walking in the evening and a worker went by in his car. It’s all gravel roads so a lot of dust was kicked up. He should have slowed down when he saw me, rather inconsiderate.
