Booking cancelled as we were travelling to Londo

I cannot really comment as the booking was cancelled by the accomodation on the morning of our stay. We were on the coach for a much anticipated weekend in London with lots planned. To be told we had no where to stay with limited ability to find alternative accommodation was extremely stressful. As a positive, the communication proved quick with the property and there was a quick transfer of money to assist with us having to book two rooms at a travelodge for two nights to ensure we all could be comfortable

− The lack of communication earlier to say the flat had been overbooked. This was booked in February. Paid for, conformation of our arrival time accepted the day before! If I had been told whilst I was at home, before setting off I could have tried to find something more central where we wanted to be. My money was refunded from booking.com the next day with some compensation added to my wallet. I cried almost all the way to London. I was stressed and upset that this had happened. It makes me very cautious about using Booking.com in the future. I found their helpline not helpful at all.

Im Sommer nicht zu empfehlen. Wenn man keine großen Ansprüche hat, ist es passabel.

Gut sind die vorhandene Waschmaschine, die Kühl-Gefrierkombi und die Internetverbindung. Ein kleiner Supermarkt ist in 7 Gehminuten zu erreichen.

− Das eine Schlafzimmer hat kein Fenster, sondern nur ein Oberlicht. Man kann nicht lüften und es wird im Sommer unerträglich heiß. Das Bad ist sehr notdürftig ausgestattet und das Waschbecken ist viel zu klein. Die Schiebetür des Bades ist schwergängig und laut. Es ist sehr beschwerlich, das Gepäck über eine sehr schmale Treppe bis unter das Dach zu schleppen.

We liked the location and fairness of the staff.

− We couldn’t sleep due to a roof leak in one of the bedrooms and in the living room. There was also mold in one of the bedrooms. For us, these conditions were unacceptable, so we decided to leave the apartment, even though we had a two-night reservation. The host was professional enough to refund us for one night.
