Lovely hotel, a little out of the way, but we would stay there again
9.0Lovely hotel, the grounds are beautiful and well maintained. We paid extra and upgraded to a suite, which was lovely with sea views; we were really glad that we paid the extra. Evening meals were a mixture of buffet and à la carte. I enjoyed my meals, but my husband not as much. Breakfast was excellent. Bed was huge and very comfortable. Staff were lovely, with the exception of one. One waiter was superb and was training a young girl, I didn't catch his name but he was exceptional and I told him so! Pool was great and there are plenty of sunbeds. I saw a review mentioning getting sea shoes, so glad that we saw that, it's a must, the sand can have tiny sharp shells and there are spiky sea urchins in the sea that you definitely don't want to step on! Cheap and cheerful will do trick. We would absolutely stay here again, but it is a little out of the way.
− It is 90 minutes from the airport and Stone Town and a little out of the way, so everything requires a taxi.
