Lovely stay at a cute barn conversion

Really cute barn conversion. Didn't have to worry about a thing, all cutlery, crockery, utensils, soaps, towels, cleaning bits, toilet roll, milk etc all covered. The outdoor kitchen was really useful too and very well kept. Sarah gave us plenty of privacy but was also on hand to help with extra touches that made our stay perfect, thank you. One of the selling points for us when booking was to stay somewhere with animals, which was fantastic, shout out to the two pigs in particular who are very friendly (or at least think everyone has food for them!)

I booked the barn as a surprise birthday getaway and wanted somewhere we could relax, switch off and spend time in nature - this place exceeded our expectations. The barn itself was spotless, the bed was incredibly comfortable and the thoughtful touches such as fresh milk, biscuits, tea and coffee were lovely. The real highlight, however, was the outdoor kitchen. Cooking outside surrounded by nature was such a special experience. Sarah also provided us with a fire pit and BBQ, so we were absolutely delighted and ended up cooking over the fire for most of our stay. The setting is beautiful, with horses, chickens and two hilarious pigs who would waddle over to say hello whenever they spotted us. It was exactly the peaceful escape we were hoping for.

− The only slight downside was that there aren’t many walking routes directly from the property. There are no obvious public footpaths or bridleways nearby and while you can walk along the road, some sections are overgrown and the traffic moves quite quickly, making it feel a little unsafe in places. That said, if you’re happy to jump in the car, there are many fantastic walks and places to explore within a short drive, so it certainly didn’t detract from our overall enjoyment of the stay.

Really lovely location and well maintained by hosts, the bottle of fresh milk made a nice cuppa instead of the normal sachets, was nice to meet the owner with her dog for a chat before going to Download Would definitely recommend and book again

The property was ideally placed for all the places I wanted to visit, was very clean and had a nice comfortable bed. It was perfect for my four night stay.

We had such a lovely time, so quiet and we loved meeting the animals. Was exactly what we needed.
